Great Vacation Read

I had the luxury of reading this over Labor Day weekend on a mountain ranch retreat with my family. For the most part, it was me, my book and my hamoock chair. There were times when some lazy visitors would come my way, but they let me read. You've just gotta love nieces and dogs.
A Serious Sophie Kinsella
This is the third book I've read by Jojo Moyes, and I'm now determine to read them all. "Me Before You" got a lot of attention and acclaim, but I think "One Plus One" is beter. If you've never read anything by Ms. Jojo, I like to like of her as a more serious Sophie Kinsella ("Confessions of a Shopaholic") who writes smarter characters.
Moyes tackles tough situations like they are daily issues (because they usually are). In "One Plus One" she gives the hardships of single mom Jess and her kid the weight they deserve, but she doesn't forget to throw humorous elements into the mix. When her characters are struggling, they make realistic choices with similar thought processes.
A Plot That Redeems
As the book changes points of view, you grow to love each of the characters despite their imperfections. Don't worry; they develop and become better people; more complete people. Their relationships change and their life lessons are learned.
